Musical Theatre Classes in Kent for 9 – 13 year olds

Who are they for?

Our Interz Musical Theatre classes are open to all between the ages 9 to 13, regardless of previous experience, skills or ability. All we ask is that you come along with bundles of energy and enthusiasm, ready to act, dance and sing!

Interz weekly classes are a great way to develop performance skills and experiences in small groups, with regular performance opportunities. Our classes provide diverse content in a friendly and fun environment, creating well-rounded triple threat performers. We provide our students with a fantastic platform for their education and future life, learning advanced skills in communication, character and confidence.

What do we do? Dance Act Sing Perform

Singing sessions in Interz focus on developing healthy vocal technique, range and control. Students work on breathing technique, posture, diction and projection, ensuring safe vocal development as their voices grow and change.

We introduce harmonies, part singing and ensemble work, helping students build listening skills and musical confidence. Solo opportunities are regularly incorporated so each performer gains experience singing independently and building stage presence.

Through a varied repertoire of musical theatre songs, students learn how to interpret lyrics, connect emotionally to material and communicate clearly with an audience.

Interz Dance classes focus on developing solid technical foundations alongside dynamic musical theatre choreography. Students explore a variety of styles that reflect the demands of modern stage performance, building strength, flexibility, coordination and stamina.

We work on precision, musicality and performance quality, helping students understand not just how to execute steps, but how to perform them with confidence and character. As they progress, dancers are encouraged to retain choreography more independently and develop greater awareness of spacing, formations and teamwork.

Dance sessions are energetic and rewarding — designed to challenge students while still maintaining the supportive, encouraging atmosphere that defines The Talentz.

Interz Acting classes develop storytelling, characterisation and performance confidence. Students explore script work, improvisation and devised scenes, learning how to make bold, clear choices in their acting.

We focus on vocal clarity, physical expression and emotional connection, helping performers move beyond simply “saying lines” to fully embodying a role. As confidence grows, students are encouraged to take creative risks, refine their performance skills and support one another in ensemble work.

Acting sessions aim to build not only strong performers, but strong communicators — skills that benefit students both on and off stage.
